Designing a logo is more than turning on the computer, opening up a design program, and creating the first thing that pops into the head. The final result may sometimes look like it was a simple task or an easy project. The reality is, the final logo is a result of mind mapping, brainstorming, research, sketching, designing, and refining.
Anyone can jump on to the computer and start designing a logo and there is no doubt about that, but not eveyone can design an effective logo. The result of a poorly executed design process usually leads to a poor, irrelavant logo. The logo may come out looking great, but that is only the half of it. A logo is meant to be more than just a simple graphic. A logo is your identity: it needs to communicate who you are and what you do, customers need to identify with it, it needs to be eye catching without conforming, and most importantly it needs to be timeless.
Our design process allows us to think through problems and find creative solutions. By brainstorming and mind mapping we allow ourselves to break down the problems and conflicts that need to be addressed. This in turns gives us solutions we would have never gotten by designing blindly, without a clear direction. For example...Say your family is planning a vacation; you won't just wake up one day, get in the car and just drive to a random destination. Instead, you will plan for the trip by budgeting, reasearching the best deals, and mapping a route to your destination. Once you have a clear plan and know what you are doing then you make the trip. Our logo design process is important for laying out our route so we are on a clear path to designing the best and most effective logo for you.

Mind Mapping is important to the design of a logo because it allows our creative thought process to kick in! By selecting key words that represent the business we are able to break down and find underlying messages or meanings that aid in finding the best possible solution.

Brainstorming is essential to the design process! Writing down our ideas, no matter how quircky or bizzare, allows us to find new and creative ideas and potential solutions. Our Ideas do not get left behind or disregarded because every idea is essential in producing the most effective logo.
Sketching our ideas is a vital step in allowing us to find solutions; this is the stage prior to designing in a design program on the computer. Not all sketches will be designed or considered, but many will be and could potentially be the final selection.

From the drawing board we go into the design programs and begin the work of creating multiple logos. Some may be spot on while others could miss the mark. This stage allows us to bring our ideas and sketches to life.

After preliminary designing and meeting with the client we decide on one or two potential logos and begin the refinement process: cleaning up paths, adjusting colors, and minor edits.
The final result is a strong logo that is relevant and effective for the company it represents.
